Installing FM Data Tweaks is quick and straightforward. Just follow the steps below to make sure everything is set up correctly and working in your save.
Make sure you place the files in the correct folder and load them through the game’s editor data section before starting your career.
Step 1 – Download & Extract
- Download the FM Data Tweaks zip file.
- Open it with WinRAR or 7-Zip.
Step 2 – Copy to Documents Folder
- Move the “Sports Interactive” folder into the correct path:
- Windows: Documents
- Mac OS: Top bar → Go → hold Option until Library appears → open Application Support → paste Sports Interactive folder.
- When prompted to replace files, choose YES.
Step 3 – Start a New Save
- You must start a new save to see the changes from these files.
- Updated photos will appear after reloading your skin.
FAQ
Q: I see players with different photos, what can I do?
A: Make sure you are not using other files that create players/staff, as this can mess with Player IDs and photos won’t match.
Q: New players don’t have photos (FM21–24), what can I do?
A: Go to FM Settings > Preferences > Advanced > Interface:
- Disable Use caching to decrease page loading times
- Enable Reload skin when confirming changes in Preferences
- Confirm and reload your skin; photos should now appear.
Q: I don’t see any new players/staff in my save, what’s wrong?
A: Ensure you enabled FM Data Tweaks files when starting a new save.
Q: I don’t see updated transfers, what’s wrong?
A: FM Data Tweaks does not include transfers. You should use a Transfer Update file alongside it. A txt inside the zip contains links to recommended updates.
